WHAT WE BELIEVE

1.  We believe the Holy Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments, to be God’s divinely inspired written word and our sole source for faith and practice.

Ephesians 3:16-17  |   2 Peter 1:20  |  Romans 16:25-26

2.  We believe God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit comprise the eternal Godhead and are one in nature and in purpose.

Genesis 1:26  |  Romans 1:20  |  Matthew 28:19

3.  We believe that all men are sinners by nature, separated from God and are in need of eternal salvation, the restoration of our relationship with God.

Romans 3:23  |  Romans 5:12  |  Romans 6:23

4.   We believe that because of God’s great love for man, He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross, shed his blood as the payment for man’s sin and then raised Him again from the dead to provide for man’s salvation.

Romans 5:8  |  1 Corinthians 15:1-4  |   John 3:16

5.  We believe salvation must be personally received by faith, trusting in what Jesus did for us and receiving His Lordship over our lives.

Romans 10:9-10  |   John 1:12  |  John 3:3

6.  We believe it is the will of God for every believer to be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak with new tongues.  This experience of divine empowerment is distinct and separate from the experience of salvation.

Mark 16:17  |  Acts 2:4  |  Acts 11:14-16

7.  We believe that total prosperity was provided through Christ’s sacrificial work and is available to every believer; spiritually, physically, relationally, financially and emotionally.                                          3 John 2  |  Isaiah 53:4-6  |  Psalm 103:1-5

8.  We believe in the Sacraments of the Church

  • Water Baptism - That those who receive salvation should follow Christ’s commandment to be baptized in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.                                                                    Acts 2:38  |  Acts 8:35-38  |  Acts 19:5

  • The Lord’s Supper – A unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and juice (the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.                                                                                                               Matthew 26:26-29  |  1 Corinthians 10:16  |  1 Corinthians 11:23-25

  • Marriage – Marriage is defined in the Bible as a covenant, a sacred bond between one man and one woman, instituted by and publicly entered into before God.                                                         Genesis 1:26-28  |  Genesis 2:21-24  |  Matthew 19:4-6

9.  We believe that at the end of times there shall be a bodily resurrection of both the believing and the unbelieving. The believing unto eternal life in the new heaven and new earth and the unbelieving unto eternal death, a place of torment prepared for the devil and his angels.

John 5:28-29  |  Revelation 20:10-15  |  Acts 24:15

10.  We believe it is the divine mandate of the church to proclaim God’s message of salvation to the world in hope that they may hear and be saved.

Mathew 28:18-20  |   Acts 1:8  |  2 Corinthians 5:18-20
