A Note from our Pastor

September 9, 2020

Dear Victory Family and Friends,

We just wanted to send a quick update out to everyone, so we are all on the same page, as we approach this coming Sunday. We are back to two services, 9 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., including Children’s Ministries, ages 2-6th grade beginning this Sunday. We are taking extra precautions and preparations to insure a safe and secure environment for all our Victory Kids. As we open, there are several ways you can assist us as we transition back.

• First, be patient. We have never had to start up a ministry to children in the middle of a pandemic before. We are doing our best and may be a little slow or over protective but feel this is the best approach to re-opening.

• Second, we are putting certain protocols in place for the protection of all our Victory Kids.

o We are requesting a parent of each child to check them in and be responsible for pick-up after the service. Check in allows us to ensure follow-up in the event of any exposure to COVID-19.

o We will be taking the temperature of each child before admittance into the Children’s Ministry area. Again, parents, please be aware that this is for the protection of all of our Victory Kids.

o Face masks will be mandatory for children 5 years of age and older, according to the CDC guidelines. We are recommending children 3 and older to wear a mask if they are able to.

o Each child will also hand sanitize before entering and upon leaving their prospective classrooms. As they say, “Clean hands and clean hearts.”

o Each child will have their own cubicle, with personalized items and activities for the day. Their teachers will show them where they can pick up and store their items.

o Lastly, we will be cleaning each classroom before and after each service in order to keep a sanitary and safe environment for our Victory Kids.

Again, thank you for your patience and cooperation as we launch back into Children’s Ministry this Sunday. We still have available opportunities for those of you who would like to serve in this vital area. Whether it is directly with children or by helping prepare and clean the classrooms, there is a place for you. Find out more at the Connection Center.

We will also be having a special guest with us this Sunday. Reverend Joseph Morris, from Tulsa, OK, will be with us and sharing prophetic insight from the scriptures and current events on where we are on God’s time table. It will be encouraging, comforting and motivating and you simply do not want to miss this Sunday. He will be with us, as well, for a special service Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. where we will dive in even deeper to this incredible aspect of Bible prophecy. I trust you’ll make plans to join us and invite a friend or family member.

Finally, Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. we are kicking off the Firewall of Prayer event. This is a three day event where Christians from all across our city will be praying. Victory Church will kick off our participation Friday evening as we will meet here at the church but move into our community to walk and drive the streets filling the atmosphere with our prayers. We would love to have you join us. We will have instructions and prayer outlines to assist you in your time of prayer. See you Friday evening!

These are exciting days to be alive. Recently, the Lord spoke into my heart, “You were born for such a time as this.” How blessed we are to be alive at this time! These are not days to dread but days to embrace the call of God on our lives like never before! We were born for such a time as this!

We are “Living on Mission!”
